Happy Birthday Mariuca!

Today, August 29(in Malaysia) is the birthday of one of my very good blogging friends. Though I haven't known Mariuca quite a year yet in the blogging community, we became friends almost instantly. With her personality, it wasn't that difficult becoming friends despite that fact I famously misspelled her name on a blog when I first met her. I'm glad she didn't hold that against me. LOL!

It was my friend Lainy that made mention of her to me before we met, and the rest you can say is history.

I'm going to let the latest Sunday Sun newspaper front page do the rest of the talking in this entry on Marzie's special day. Happy Birthday my sweet friend!

Happy Birthday Stacey Tee!

Today, August 27, is the birthday of my very good Filipino friend Stacey Tee of Stacey Avenue.

I don't exactly recall how we met, but it was about a year and a half ago when we did. It didn't take long to see how great of a blogger she was, and the way she addressed issues on her site. Whether it be informative or addressing an issue, she doesn't shy away from speaking out. She is a good-hearted woman and blogger. Happy Birthday Stacey!

Here is an article posted in The Journal about Stacey's birthday.

I'll update the FCSB for August when I get time. Thanks to you all for the comments even if you didn't make the list.

Disconnected Starring Elai!

Note: This is NOT to be taken seriously, and is only for fun. Please check the credits to see the bloggers I listed on the poster.

Disconnected
Starring: Elai Eliski, Ane Fallarme, Gagay Dinampo
Director/Writer: David Funk
Chief Editor: Mariuca Nor
Location Manager: Lady Java
Studio Coordinator: Caroline Ng May Ling
Comment Manager: Monica Yong

Narrator: A peaceful community connecting people around the world makes blogging enjoyable for all. It is a place where we can escape from the daily grind to take our minds off it all.

(Camera shows Elai posting a blog while her kids run around the house)

Narrator: Suddenly, bloggers can't connect on-line to write which is perceived to be because of brownouts or loss of power where they live. Or is it because of a vengeful blogger or troll from the past that is stopping at nothing to prevent bloggers from writing?

Elai: Jeez, another brownout! I'm really tired of this! Sigh.

Narrator: Little does Elai know that everything isn't what it seems and brownouts are only part of the story. Someone is trying to disconnect bloggers from connecting to others throughout the world!

(Elai is shown trying to get online and is frustrated. She then begins to investigate it as someone trying to disconnect her).

Narrator: But the perpetrators pulled the plug on the wrong woman!

(Camera shows Elai hunting down the enemy online)
Elai: Now you're about to be disconnected!

Elai Eliski, Ane Fallarme, and Gagay Dinampo lead a great cast! World Blogging Entertainment presents Disconnected. Coming this Halloween to theaters around the world everywhere!

Happy Birthday Dhemz!

Today, August 20 is the birthday of one of my very good blogging friends. I've known Dhemz in the blogging community for over a year, and she is one of the most caring people you'll ever meet. She is a dedicated mother and wife as well as blogger. Despite her hectic schedule on and off line, she doesn't hesitate to help or lend advice to anyone at anytime - myself included.

Hopefully, I can meet her and her family one day.

Anyway, The Daily in the U.K. has published an article for Dhemz' birthday on their front page. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday Dhemz!

A Blog With Substance Award!

Last month, I was fortunate to receive this award from my dear and pretty friends Chie of Chuchie's Hideaway and Elai of Elai's precious angels. Later in the month, Bill passed this award to me, too.

The Rules:

* Thank the blogger who awarded it to you.
* Sum up your blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience using five (5) words. Love Life, Share All Blessings.
* Pass it on to 10 other blogs which you feel have real substance.

I am breaking the rules, and passing this to everyone that is on my Friend's Blog Roll list on the right side of this page. If you're on the list and haven't received the award, feel free to grab it for your site(s).

Boston's Prudential Skywalk Observatory Pics!

After visiting the New England Aquarium and Museum of Science, my next stop was the Prudential Tower on their Skywalk Observatory. At that point in the day, the rain was coming down as indicated in the pics below. However, I wasn't going to wait for the rain to stop with having one more stop after this one on that Saturday.

I'm sure it is much better on a clear day, but I still liked the look of the skyline in the city from there. Here are some of the pics I took from atop the Skywalk Observatory.....

And of course, I'll be posting the souvenirs from the Skywalk Observatory on WBE as well an Associated Content review later. Thanks for viewing!

New Header!

This is part of the new header I had created last weekend. But due to the work schedule this week, I'm just now posting about it.

Pics included in this portion of the header(from left to right starting on top): Oklahoma Sooners logo, pic from last year's Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl, Cowboys Stadium Jerry Vision Screen, Chicago Bears logo, flamingos from Dallas World Aquarium, outside Fenway Park, Statue of Liberty, Citizens Bank Ballpark scoreboard, Chicago Cubs logo, AT&T Park scoreboard, Bay Bridge in San Francisco, and Chicago Bulls logo with Michael Jordan in the background. Of course, that is me in the center of the photo.

I've been wanting to create one for awhile, and finally had the time last weekend to add life to this blog.

I'll likely be created a new badge soon on here and a new header on WBE soon, too.

I have so many blog entries to in mind, and some more pics from the places I visited...weeks ago. I hope to get some entries up before I head back to work Monday! I hope you like the header, and thanks for visiting!

Boston's Museum of Science Pics!

After my visit to the New England Aquarium, the Museum of Science was my next stop on that Saturday in Boston. This was the highlight of the day because of the exhibits that this place has to offer. This was an impressive place to visit, and I would go back again.

From astronomy to the history of our way of life in the U.S., you can see it all here. Here are the pics I took at the Museum of Science....

Coming soon will be more pics from that day in downtown Boston including from atop the Prudential Skywalk Observatory and Museum of Natural Arts. Plus, WBE Travel Collection and AC reviews of all, too!
