SPAMMERS Starring Mileka!

SPAMMERS
Starring Mileka Malay and C.B. Spammer

Narrator: We've dealt with them. Some worse than others. The outbreak of spamming has gone far beyond emails and has been flooded on websites. For Mileka, she posts on a blog and frequently attends concerts because of a clear love of music. She enjoys reader interaction....until her ChatBox as well as comments come pouring into her blog and later into her personal life.

(Mileka logs in to check her blog)
Mileka: I don't get some people! That's it! If they spam again, they'll be temporarily banned!

Narrator: As Mileka stands up to the spammers, she has no idea the lengths they'll go to get to her.

(C.B. Spammer begins leaving multiple links on her site and finds out about her attending a concert)

(Mileka leaves her house)
Mileka: I'm looking forward to this!
(Suddenly, her cell phone is ringing off the hook)
Mileka: Hello?
(Indistinct messaging in the background on the phone)
Mileka: I don't care about your stupid website! Can't you understand what I'm telling you!
(Mileka is ready to slam her cell phone down on the ground)
Mileka: UGGH!!!!!
(She checks her Twitter account to find out some friends have been banned from their blogs)
Mileka: WTH is going on here?! If they want me gone, then I'm going to make those spammers disappear!

Narrator: Mileka is on her way to the concert, and the phone is ringing again. This time, it is a friend that tells her she's been spammed by the same person repeatedly. She spots one of her friends on his way to the concert, and finds out his blog has been removed! She's not deterred in anyway, and goes to the concert only to find that the spammers have pushed her to the limit!

(Hip hop music is playing as she's trying to enjoy herself)
(Suddenly, helicopters as well as park attendants show signs of the same websites she and her friends have been spammed with. Some are for explicit content in nature)

Mileka: Oh, I'm so going to get rid of the spammers! I hope my friends will still blog somewhere after I'm done with these pests!

Narrator: The spammers have made the wrong person mad. Spam has become an outbreak at the concert, but Mileka is the cure!

(Next scene shows Mileka taking down a spammer followed by another)
(She puts up a sign with an anti-spam message in the background of the concert stage)
(C.B. Spammer begins laughing, and Mileka punches him)

Mileka in the background voice: You created this spam, and I'm going to be the one to kill it!

Happy Birthday Rialyn!

Today is the birthday of my beautiful blogger friend Ria Stevenson who is the author of Live Love Laugh, Health, Nutrition, and Beauty Tips, and Explore the World of Kids.

Ria has been a good blogger friend of mine for about a year, and she's one of those types that will always find something good to say or she just won't say it. That's the one thing I appreciate about her.

Speaking of kids, she gave birth to her second child earlier this month named Joshua. She was inactive for a while with blogging, but just returned this week. So congrats to her and her hubby for that, too! Great month for the family there.

Beautiful Blogger Award From SDWHH!

I received this one from my very beautiful and sexy blogger friend Gagay - otherwise known to me as SDWHH(Sexy Doc With High Heels). Well, she's a doctor, she's sexy, and does wear high heels. LOL! Thanks SDWHH for this one!

Now as part of accepting this award, I'm posting seven things about myself:

1. I'm single and never have been married.

2. I currently live in North Carolina in the USA. Outside of two years living up north, I've lived in the state since I was a teenager.

3. Before living in North Carolina, I lived in Oklahoma after moving around a lot in my very young years due to both my parents serving in Air Force at different times.

4. I aspired to be a pro baseball player growing up. It was my favorite sport to play as a kid, and I'm a Chicago Cubs fan.

5. American football is now my favorite sport. The Oklahoma Sooners are my favorite college team and the Chicago Bears are my favorite pro team.

6. I'm an Assistant Crew Coordinator in my line of work which traveling is required. I'm responsible for helping supervise a crew at locations that do store setups for retailers across the U.S. The winter times are slow, but very busy in the warmer months.

7. I once went inside the Cowboys Stadium cheerleaders locker room during a tour. I didn't get arrested either. LOL!

Happy Birthday Sharon Chong!

Today is the birthday of one my first international blogging friends named Sharon Chong from Malaysia. She is the very pretty and friendly blogger of Pynk Candy, and you can certainly tell how much of a fanatic she is for that color.

I don't remember when I first visited her page. However, I noticed her photography and creativity that she has which she sometimes doesn't see herself. Though her topics are almost nearly all about her personal life, you can stand to learn something from them.

I recall early last year when Sharon was frustrated with blogging in general. I was very touched when she told me that it was a comment I left on her site that helped her decide to continue writing on her site. Since that time despite our off and on scheduling, we've become good online friends.

Ohno is Most Decorated Winter Olympian in USA History

On Saturday night, Apolo Anton Ohno made Olympic history when he won a bronze medal in the 1,000M Short Track event. It was his seventh overall medal passing Bonnie Blair to become the most decorated Winter Olympian in USA history. But Oh No! He nearly had to wait until Friday to make history.

With three laps remaining, Ohno slipped on a turn causing him to fall to the back of the pack of skaters. But Ohno fought his way back in the race passing Charles and Francois Hamelin of Canada to take the bronze medal. Lee Jung-su and Lee Ho-suk took the gold and silver medals for South Korea as they pulled away to easily finish first and second in the 1,000M final.

Throughout his entire career, Ohno has been surrounded by controversy as well as hate from countries - most notably South Korea.

The 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City saw Ohno win the 1500M by DQ after Kim Dong-sung was called for blocking. South Koreans protested so strongly with anger and death threats towards Ohno and the Olympic Committee that the email server from the OC crashed. Without the DQ against Dong-sung, Ohno still would have won a silver medal.

In the same Winter Olympics, I recall Ohno fighting to the finish line in the 1,000M final to win a silver medal after crashing with three other skaters into the wall. He was in the lead going into the final turn before the crash, but had the presence of mind to get to his feet to get the silver medal.

Because of all the hatred expressed towards Ohno after the controversial 1500M in Salt Lake City, he declined to participate at the World Cup short track event held in Korea the following year.

At the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, Ohno had stumbled in the 1500M semi-final run to prevent him from defending his gold in the final. Ohno would rebound in the 1000M and 500M races.

After taking the bronze in the 1000M, Ohno raced what was quite possibly his best race in the 500M final in a very memorable day for him. After getting out to a lead in the 500M, he held it the entire time cruising to a gold medal.

On the same day he won his second gold medal, he rallied the USA 5000M relay team as the anchor when he passed Nicola Rodigari of Italy to give the nation a bronze medal.

Expectations were never higher for Ohno going into Vancouver, and he caught a break in the 1500M final when two South Korean skaters crashed on the final turn enabling him to take the silver medal.

Perhaps last night winning a bronze medal defined his career. As I watched, I wasn't sure he could get back in the race with three laps remaining when he fell to last. But as he's always done, he worked his way into position to finish third in the final. Everyone watching had seen South Korea dominate, but Ohno still showed a lot of fight in wanting to take his place in history.

For an Olympic athlete, winning a medal in an event is a true accomplishment in itself. To be mentioned in the same sentence as fellow American Olympic greats Bonnie Blair and Eric Heiden is beyond words.

Though you can certainly say that Blair and Heiden's five gold medals a piece makes the argument for them being the best ever, Ohno has earned his spot in American Olympic history.

Not many athletes in recent history have been surrounded by hate and controversy as much as Ohno, but not many can accomplish what he's done in his career as well as for the sport of short track speed skating. And that's not mentioning that he's the most well-known short track speed skater in the world which has put heavy expectations on his shoulders.

Short track speed skating is very unpredictable with a small margin for error. One slip or mistake could mean the difference in going from first to last(or vice versa) in just one turn. It is more than just racing around a track to determine a winner. Ohno lost one chance at a gold medal because of a crash, but benefited from another winning a silver.

Despite the hate and controversy, the level of competition has increased in short track especially with the USA and South Korea. I don't condone hate for either side, but I've always said that rivalries of any kind in a sports venue makes that sport much better.

Is Ohno the best Winter Olympian in USA history? Maybe not because it is too subjective of an argument to make. For now with his seven overall medals, he's officially the most decorated Winter Olympian in USA history which is a fact no one can deny. And he's got two more races on Friday, so he may not be done yet!

What The Funk? Time To Rant!

Growing up, I was often teased with my last name of Funk. There were so many ways to use the name as well as saying it with an attitude. I still get asked to this day if I'm really related to wrestler Terry Funk. I guess because I'm a wrestling fan, that question won't stop. Overtime, I embraced the name to a point where I would use my name instead of the profane word. So excuse me while I try a bit of humor while addressing my opinions on a couple of matters.

Well, all of us have seen or heard things that make you say "What The Hell?" So I'm going to post some thoughts using my last name frequently in this post. And if you don't like, Funkin' read something else!

Evgeni Plushenko's complaining and the media

For those following the Winter Olympics, you've probably heard about Plushenko winning the silver medal while Evan Lysacek took gold in men's figure skating. Plushenko proceeded to funkin' slander Lysacek for not performing the quadruple jump, which isn't required in funkin' figure skating. Further, he couldn't recognize Lysacek for winning the gold, and his other funkin' antics such as showing up late to watch other skaters as well as turning his back to a performer on camera show a complete lack of funkin' sportsmanship on his part.

In turn, the funkin' media has repeatedly questioned Lysacek about all this while not giving him his funkin' time to reflect on the glory of winning a gold medal. Regardless of what country you're from, no one deserves to be funkin' pestered with questioning when he had nothing to do with the funkin' scoring system in place. I had no problem with the judge's scoring, but Lysacek deserves better than being funkin' slandered by a funkin' guy he idolized as well as by the media for the mere thought of him not deserving the gold medal! Sorry, but WHAT THE FUNK?!?!?!

Internet hacker who took advantage of friends

I'm really funkin' tired of this hacker who took advantage of my friend Amiable Amy. You can read about it here and here. The impostor continues to funkin' cause problems and has scammed her friends out of money as well as hacked her family emails, too. The NBI and FBI have been contacted about this matter.

I realize this is a funkin' problem on the internet, but this one has really gotten personal as the impostor hasn't been stopped yet. It's a dangerous funkin' thing to mess with family and money. The nerve of those funkin' scammers, I tell ya! WHAT THE FUNK?!?!?!

As far as these posts are concerned, I don't care if you don't like my funkin' attitude!

Happy Birthday SHY!

Today is the birthday of my very good and cute friend SHY of A Journey For Life. Actually, it is almost midnight in the Philippines as I type this which is where she's at currently for her 3-month vacation.

It was through her friend Jenny that I met her. Both Filipinos live in Sweden as does their other Filipino blogging friend Janet.

Though I haven't said anything to SHY since she's in Davao on vacation, she's a sweet girl and friend to many. She's someone that I talk to every once in a while on YM. I always like reading about when Jenny, Janet, and SHY get together because I think its cool when bloggers meet.

Stacey: Blog entry is locked on.
Blog Station: Okay, Stacey.
Stacey: Blog entry is ready to be posted.
Stacey: Here I go to click on the publish entry link.
Blog Station: Roger.
Stacey: All tags for the entry are in.
Blog Station: Roger.
Stacey: I got a virus uploading on my blog!
Blog Station: Abort the entry! Abort!
Stacey: I can't, the screen is freezing up!

General: Gentleman, we can rebuild her. We have the technology. We have the capabilities to make the world's first bionic blogger. Stacey Tee will be that blogger. Better than she was before. Better...Stronger...Faster.
(The next scene shows Stacey Tee using her bionic eye to look into enemy laptops and computers without hacking as well as using her right hand to type at the speed of light)

Narrator: The Bionic Blogger is trying to live a normal life without using her bionics. It has been a while since she had to use them because she took a long vacation from the internet. But suddenly, she's working at her job when she's called upon to deal with the person causing problems.

Stacey: Ridiculous! Why someone would want to mess with me is just stupid. Who is this guy?

Narrator: The infamous Gossip Boy is being nice to Stacey when she starts her new job under the direction of the government to bring him down. Little by little, she realizes how tough this might be even though her bionics could easily overpower her new foe.

Gossip Boy: You're such a traitor, Stacey! I'll make you pay for this!

Narrator: Gossip Boy goes too far in trying to intervene himself into Stacey's personal life. Suddenly, a blog comes out that starts gossiping about Stacey and her antics in dealing with on-line pests at CI A&M University. Because of this, Stacey is under investigation by the school for actions towards pests. This would turn out to be the biggest mistake of Gossip Boy's life.

David Funk: What do you mean you're investigation? What did you do?
Stacey: I'm controlling pests in class like I was told to do! Sometimes, I have to do what I have to do.
David: Once you can prove that Gossip Boy is behind this, I'll make sure you get your job back. Let's face it. You're a HOT bionic blogger and you're a Psycho that teaches at CI A&M University! He picked the wrong woman to mess with!
Stacey: Exactly David. I teach on-line pest control MY way! And I'm dealing with Gossip Boy MY way!

Narrator: Gossip Boy continues to stir the pot and Stacey is fired from her teaching position at CI A&M. But he's soon to learn that he's crossed the point of no return in dealing with the Bionic Blogger!

(Next scenes show Stacey using her bionic right eye to look through her monitor to find the exact home location for Gossip Boy)
(Gossip Boy smiles about what he's done)
(Stacey is shown using her bionic feet and right arm to bust down the door at Gossip Boy's home)

Happy Birthday Frank!

Today is the birthday of my long-time blogging buddy Frank of A Frank Angle.

I first met Frank in 2008 after I found his blog through another friend. At the time, I didn't know that he was a long-time member of the Sporting News community like me. I found out early on after meeting him that he's one of the most intelligent, yet objective people you'll find on the internet. He's also a very diverse blogger that encourages others to comment no matter who they are or where they're from. He's definitely one of the good guys in the blogging community!

WOAFS Starring Mariuca!

Narrator: In the world of blogging, Mariuca has achieved a lot. Able to work at home as well as blog on three sites, she was always wishing on a falling star to become a very popular and well-respected blogger. She achieves her status after a lot of hard work. But then there's someone trying to spoil the fun and reverse their own fortunes by trying to befriend her. A couple of years ago, the person spoiled Mariuca's weekend by some overly negative comments on her blog. Now this....

Mariuca: I like dis! I'm dropping ECs like a mad panda right now!
(Mariuca then notices a comment of someone from her past on her blog)
Mariuca: I didn't want to see him again! WTH is he doing?!

Narrator: Mariuca wants nothing to do with him, and made a post about not wanting anything to do with the guy. As it turns out, jealousy rears its ugly as the person following her is wishing on a falling star to be as popular and well-known as the sweet Mariuca. Mariuca is absolutely disgusted with it all that she takes it out...on her computer!

Mariuca: I can't believe dis after all dis time!

Narrator: Another comment by the enemy makes others see a side of her they rarely if ever have seen before. If she just had a way to reach through her computer....

Mariuca: Ooh ooh! Dat would make me feel so much better to do dat!

Narrator: As time goes on, it is clear that the person's wish on a falling star isn't going to come true. He doesn't befriend Mariuca, nor does he get to be popular amongst other bloggers as he wanted.

Mariuca: I'm just going to tweet for a while and play some games on-line.
(Mariuca is tweeting)
Mariuca's tweet: Chop chop! I'm chopping blogs while B is watching football!


Narrator: Even as she tries to move on, the image of the negative comments will always be what she associates the person that later is revealed as G.P. Enemy.

Mariuca: I'm being stalked and I'm tired of it! I'm ready to explode!


Narrator: As we learn, even some bloggers are willing to risk it all to tear down others to become world famous for 15 minutes! Can she stop the madness? Or will the negative publicity fulfill his wishing on a falling star after all to get everything he wants?

G.P. Enemy: Hi! I'm here again!
Mariuca:

(The next scenes show both typing on laptops before the screen shows a big smile on the face of Mariuca)
