Now that I'm finally continuing on with my Oklahoma City vacation after not being home very much since that Labor Day weekend, it's time to post pics from my visit at the National Softball Hall of Fame.
The National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Oklahoma City and is also the home of the NCAA Women's College World Series. This past year, UCLA won their 12th title in OKC.
The Hall of Fame itself was only six dollars to visit, and is only open on the weekdays as of now. The 2010 class is seen in the pics as are the Olympic teams which features such stars as Jennie Finch.
At the time that I went, I received a free book titled The Game America Plays which is detailed history of the ASA(American Softball Association) valued at $25 with paid admission into the Hall of Fame.
Here are some of the pics I took while visiting there:
More pics to come from my Oklahoma City mini-vacation as well as Fenway Park pics and more!

hi David! ;)
thanks for sharing the pics David.. looking forward to ur next post! ;)
@GAGAY- You crack me up with your comments. I would like to see how you spank someone with a baseball bat. Not that I would encourage it especially from a Sexy Doc like you though. LOL! If you ever make it to the central USA near OK, I'll make sure you get to see this place being I know you're a softball player. See ya later, Sexy Doc!
@Stacey- Yeah, my job does allow me to go to places to see, but OKC was a mini-vacation getaway since that is where I lived as a kid. I hope you can come to the USA one day soon, too!
@Mariuca- Yeah, it was a good visit to that place. My game starts in less than an hour from now.
@Monica- Glad you enjoyed Monica!
National Softball HoF? Didn't know it existed. Thanks for sharing. Dang - and Mo passed up visiting the Soccer HoF.
David,
I am so glad you had a chance to go see the "home" of fastpitch softball. The ASA Hall of Fame has always been a special venue. For years - while I coached at DePaul, Northern Iowa, and Indiana - the National Fastpitch Coaches Association hosted an All-American banquet the evening before Opening Day of the College World Series. It was amazing to be able to see our your athletes soak in the history that surrounded them.
Many women have worked extremely hard to create a foundation in our sport to allow our young athletes to be able to have the exciting opportunities they have today. The Hall of Fame captures that.
Great pictures. Curious what took you there? Have you been to the College World Series?? If not, I highly recommend you do at some point - quite an outstanding event.

@Frank- Yep, it exists in OKC. Pretty impressive and very good price, too.
@Sara Hayes- First off, honored to have you comment here! That's quite the credentials you have, and thanks for adding some insight about ASA. I visited the ASA Hall of Fame while on a Labor Day weekend vacation this year in OKC(I grew up as a kid in nearby Midwest City where I attended elementary school, and it took me this long to go back). The ASA Hall of Fame is in a great are where there's many other museums and I passed it on my way to Remington Park Casino that weekend. I've thought about moving back out that way. I've never been to a College World Series. Thanks for stopping by, Sara!
