I normally post my Music Monday entries on WBE, but I'm posting on both today because of our 4th of July celebration this weekend.
This song by Bruce Springsteen could be heard blasting on the radio across the country like it was about 25 years ago in the USA. It is one of the most recognized American-themed songs of all-time although the lyrics itself is for the Vietnam Vets. However, I look at it as a proud song for us Americans. It has always brought a smile to my face whenever I hear it.
When the song came out, I was a very young kid living in Oklahoma. It reminds me of my time there as well as those friends of mine I've known and/or worked with that served in Vietnam or other war conflicts.
So this Music Monday entry on Basic Bloganomics is Born in the USA to honor EVERYONE that has served this country of ours in which they've given me the freedom to do things such as this for them. I hope everyone had an awesome 4th of July!
