Narrator: As a Filipino, Bingkee made her way to America which led to her eventually starting a blog. With the support of her husband who is also a blogger, she's on her way to making it in the community.
Bingkee: I want to start blogging about things I don't like about America.
Narrator: After consideration, she came up with I Love/Hate America as the title of her blog. She received praise for her stellar writing skills, but had to endure comments of a derogatory and hateful nature, too.
Bingkee: These comments are uncalled for! I don't know if any of these people read my blog at all.
Narrator: Still getting hammered by those that would later be called "negas"(negative people) on her blog, she stood her ground.
Bingkee: These comments will never see the light of day. I'll block anyone from visiting if you do.
Narrator: After asking her friends whether she should change the title, she continued on. One such person stooped to the ultimate low in an attempt to bring her down.
Bingkee: Wow! Someone created a profile mocking me. This is really sad.
Narrator: Her views of America were seen as valid, and though she doesn't expect everyone to agree with her, she is seen as a very knowledgeable blogger to those who know her.
(Bingkee is shown typing out a new blog entry and helping her husband out with his sites)
(She is then shown replying to her comments on her blog)
Narrator: The blog of opportunity. Through her eyes. Through all the bumps in the rode, she was able to overcome them.

Yes, the old layout caused too many problems and loading was the biggest issue. That, and it wasn't very compatible with those using IE either. Glad to hear from those that this one loads faster and better.

Fanofreds, it's all good. It's hard enough to get views let alone comments, so I don't fret about it. Besides, I read many and don't comment, too. Soon, my blogging won't be as frequent, but I'll still pop-in when I can.
I still go by your site as well when I can. I may start up my own series of posting baseball and football cards up on WBE.

another person who have made it through hollywood....lol! I completely agree David...the title is indeed misleading...but some people are inconsiderate....they should read her blog content first before judging her personally. She is one of the smartest pinay I met in blogging....:)

Actually the title is not misleading if people really do see and understand the word LOVE in the title. I based the title on a relationship that I truly hold precious like marriage to my husband. I live in America, so I am married to "it"---I have a commitment to it because I chose to live here. I grew to love it and at the same time hate the stuff that I find strange to my upbringing. It's like having a love-hate relationship with your girlfriend/bf/husband/wife---you love her so much , but you also hate her peculiarities and oddities and all the things that she does that annoy you or sometimes suck the patience out of you---yet at the end of the day, you know you love her and all you have is LOVE for her.
There's the star of the movie! Hi Bingkee! :* ;) :) I told you it was coming, and it would have been out sooner had it not been for those network producers wanting to change the title of the movie! Can you believe they actually wanted me to post a poll asking if the title should be changed? That put production behind, and it got to be expensive. Thankfully, you stuck it out and the movie should perform well enough to keep me in business to make more movies! Thanks for sticking it out! LOL!

I like the point you made about America and the marriage to your husband, and that LOVE should be the focal point of the title. I think it is in the nature of something to interpret a title when they see the word "hate" in it because that is such a strong word. But it's like they say, "you can't judge a book by its cover". I really like the comparison because it's not as if you complain about every little thing in our country without praising it, too. Sure, there will always be things that we all don't like about our countries, but many also share your sentiments about what they like and dislike about America, too.
It's thoughtful comments like this from you as to why I like you and your blog. We're not going to agree on everything, but you always add to the conversation in some way.
