Dinosaur World Pics & Review!

On the Sunday after the Red River Rivalry game in Dallas, I was recommended to Dinosaur World by one of the clerks at the hotel I stayed at in Irving. The clerk did say it would take an hour to get there. Down the road from Dinosaur World is Dinosaur Valley State Park which I went to later in the day. On this same day is when I planned to go to the 5th largest casino in the world in Oklahoma, so it was a busy one for me. The dinosaur sculptures themselves are covered with fiberglass and made out of polystyrene plastic.

These are Ultrasaurus which was one of the largest dinosaurs ever.

A look at some fish that kids can feed on the tour of the park.

On the other side of the lake are more dinosaurs flanked by the Ultrasaurus.

Fossil Dig is where kids and adults can publicly dig up fossils of dinosaurs. Another fun activity for kids. And yes, the fossils are authentic and you can take them home with you.

This is the Dilophosaurus as it looked during the Jurassic Park movies.

This is the Dryptosaurus.

A shot of the park that kids can play at.

The skull of the most famous dinosaur of them all: the Tyrannosaurus Rex which is inside the museum.

My review of Dinosaur World

The bad: The parking lot isn't really big which I can see getting busy at times could be a problem. The Fossil Dig wasn't open when I went, so you may want to check on that if you have family before attending. Also, restaurants are a good distance away, so bring plenty of food to last for your trip there.

The good: Parking is free, the price is very reasonable, and there's no shortage of activities for everyone to enjoy. Even better than that is that there are actually two other locations in the United States in Kentucky and Florida. They have picnic areas and a wide variety of gifts at the Gift Shop.

Overall: There are plenty of good things to like about Dinosaur World, and the fact that it is close to Dinosaur Valley State Park is convenient. Despite the small parking lot and no restaurants nearby, it is fun place you can get a lot out of. Good prices, free parking, good staff, and no shortage of things to do and learn for everyone are reasons why I recommend it especially for families.

Note: I took over 100 pictures at the park, and only shown a few of them here for a review. I plan on posting entries of dinosaurs on here periodically since I have plenty of pics to work with.

Here's the info about the park:
Hours: 9am to 6pm everyday(central time)
Pricing: $12.75 for adults, $10.75 for seniors over 60, and $9.75 for children 3-12 in age.

1058 Park Road 59
Glen Rose, Texas

711 Mammoth Cave Rd
Cave City, Kentucky

5145 Harvey Tew Rd

You can click on the Dinosaur World website for more info, too.

My review of Dinosaur Valley State Park is coming soon! Thanks for viewing!

The whole vacation was very enjoyable.

Thanks for your comment my dear friend! :)

Kat, they do make reference to Jurassic Park quite a bit at the park. Some are created based on that movie, too.

It was fun, and thanks for commenting my dear friend! :)

Shy, I think you would enjoy the many things they have there in Texas.

Vacation was great and thanks for commenting my dear friend! :)

Meryl, since I know you are a child at heart, it would be an ideal place for you to visit.

Thanks as always for your comment my dear friend! :)

those dinos look deceiving....lol! the price is not bad, but 1 hour trip? wow, kind of far....:) thanks for the tips Mr.D.....did you dig though?

holy cranberry batman!.....lol.....:) 100 photos? you must have an extra battery...just kidding! Nice photos...thanks for sharing!

Dhemz, I was impressed with the look of the dinosaurs and can appreciate the effort put into them. The 1 hour trip isn't so bad because of what you see on your way there if you're coming from Dallas.
No, there wasn't a park attendant to where we could despite the fact there were a large number of kids present at the time.
Yes, I took a lot of photos because it gave me an idea for writing blog entries about dinosaurs on here using those pics. Ever since my camera went did in Philadelphia when I attended a football game last year, I bring extra batteries so there is some truth to what you said. :)
And glad to see you back to yourself on here with your legalized, patented three-word catch-phrase! LOL!
Thanks for the comment as always my very dear friend! :)

honestly david? it's wonderful! i would love to see those dinos...esp. since they're not real, hahaha.as always, im amazed with the technology, and posts such as this makes me appreciate man all the more ( and that im part of that living race)

Yes Jenie, you wouldn't have any trouble with these dinosaurs.

Technology is amazing and we are blessed to be part of the human race.

Thanks for commenting my dear friend! :)

wow, this must be so exciting!
i wanna see n take photographs with those dinos!
too bad they are not real,
we are definitely fortunate to have the archaeologists have their form sketched out for us. =)

Levian, they did an amazing job designing these dinosaurs. If they were real, how could we contain them? Hahaha.

Yes, I'm glad archaeologists have sketched them out and theorized what they look like, too.

Thanks for your comment my dear friend! :)

Oh Boyy !!..
