My Favorite NFL Players & 2009 Season

The NFL season is now in preseason mode, and that means it is time for the most popular fantasy sports game on the internet to start up. Now at WaiverWire, you can follow all the action, injuries, stats, and so much more with their free Stimulus Package!

Since I'm a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, my favorite player is inside linebacker Brian Urlacher. Sure, he only can score points in leagues that use individual defensive players, but he's an athletic freak of nature capable of delivering a big play or running sideline to sideline making a tackle. He's primed to help the defense and team back to the playoffs in 2009! After his standout rookie year, Bears running back Matt Forte has become one of my favorites because he can do everything well at the position. Because of that, Forte will be a first round pick in NFL Drafts.

Another one of my favorite players is Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson because he played for my favorite college football team, the Oklahoma Sooners. Just when you think you have him tackled, he breaks off a big run and off he goes to the end zone! He combines awesome power and speed at the position.

If you want to keep an eye on someone to have a breakout year in 2009, one of the guys would be wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez of the Indianapolis Colts. Since Marvin Harrison is now gone, he'll compliment Reggie Wayne with arguably the best quarterback in the game in Peyton Manning throwing to him since he is now starting the season healthy, too. I'm expecting him to step in and fill the void of Harrison, and deliver big games for the Colts this year.

So once you sign up for the free Stimulus Package, be sure to check out the pre-populated player comparison pages to help you out with tough decisions in your league's Fantasy Football Draft. Sign up now at WaiverWire before you get left out and before the 2009 season kicks off!

I am not really a big fan of football..I only got the chance to watch the Major league years back..but hopefully I will learn to appreciate the sport..thanks for dropping by my blog and or leaving your comment..I appreciate it.. :-D

Oh yeah... it is football season again. All the men in my husband's clan are busy calling each other for the bet. And on every Sunday, they rushed home from church to watch the game. Hmm... I didn't mind... this is some kind of healthy activities though... and good way of building a relationship among them.

I always draft my teams way too early, I'm holding out as long as I can this year. Thanks for the tip Dave. Thanks for the invite on SS too, greatly appreciated brother.

I too am one who sees Gonzalez as a breakout candidate. On the other hand, he could go too early as someone is bound to speculate.

I guess you are salivating at Bradford's future too

Boomer Sooner to the end :)
