BWE News


BWE Throwdown! returns April 7 on this site as the promotion continues its Asian Invasion tour. The event will be held at the Pynk Candy Arena in Kuching, Malaysia. It will be posted here on Basic Bloganomics at 9pm MYT(Malaysia Time) and 9am EST(Eastern Standard Time in the United States). There will be a preview for the show before the event is posted.

NOTE: I would appreciate anyone that takes the 125x125 ad for the upcoming Throwdown! and post it on your blog with a link to this site.

Contest News

The other 125x125 ad that is listed is for Lainy's Blogoversary contest. The overall winner of her contest will have their 125x125 ad in the spot that Lainy's ad is in now when it is announced. That will be up for one month and that winning entry will be posted into the WBE Blog of Fame. The Judge's Choice and Reader's Choice Award winners will also have their entries inducted into the WBE Blog of Fame. Those award winners will be inducted into Lainy's Storyteller's Hall of Fame as well.

I plan on running two rows of 125x125 ads on this page for promoting upcoming events that will be listed here as well as contest winners from Tammy and Rosilie's contest. And any other contests I sponsor. When the winners of each contest are announced, they will have their 125x125 ad up on this site for one month. And like in Lainy's contest, the winning entries will be inducted into the WBE Blog of Fame.

WBE Blog of Fame

The WBE Blog of Fame began on Sporting News with the inaugural class in 2006. We didn't hold a vote last year, but we have awarded the WBE Blog of Courage Award every year since 2006. The Blog of Courage Award winner automatically receives induction into the WBE Blog of Fame.

This year, as part of my four-year anniversary in blogging which began on Sporting News in August 2005, the WBE Blog of Fame voting will return this summer! This is where YOU the bloggers determine who gets inducted in and your vote could send a blogger you know into this year's induction class of the WBE Blog of Fame! One of the members being inducted in this year will be SN Blogger ShakySpker, who is this year's winner of the WBE Blog of Courage Award! It will be up to you to determine which bloggers will join him in the Class of 2009! You can click the BOF Link above to see those who are already inducted into the WBE Blog of Fame.

The WBE Blog of Fame Induction Ceremony will happen in December. More details will be forthcoming.
