OK, some of you are asking what the heck is Depot Heavies? Well, this is where I talk about my days working at two different Office Depot stores in which many crazy and funny moments took place. I've often been told that a book could easily be written for some of the stuff that happened at both stores. Heavies is just a slang term I use for chronicles, so that you know.

This Volume is going to discuss the funniest prank calls ever pulled in the two stores I worked in. There was one of them that stood above the rest which I'll get to here in a little bit.
When I first was at the store in High Point, NC, my friends Sabre(he asked me not to reveal his name), Karl(college student), and a couple of others would sometimes make prank calls to the store. The best part is that we would make the call within the store without them ever knowing about it!
The one in the HP store that stands out was when we setup our store manager by having him make a call to drug addiction clinic! See, many of us in the store thought that our store manager was on drugs because of how high-strung he was all the time. Plus, he wasn't very well-liked as you can see in the first volume of this series.
My friend Karl used to call the store at night in a disguised voice by asking a cashier for help. What was even funnier was the fact that Karl could talk just like our assistant manager named Joey! I'm not kidding that you could not tell the difference at all over the phone. I remember one time that he called the store, and told the cashier he wanted to talk to Karl in Joey's voice. I remember the cashier asking me if Karl was there, and that Joey wanted to talk to him. Karl(in Joey's voice) said I'll talk to Funk then after the cashier told him he wasn't there. I pick up the phone, and it was Karl in his normal voice then! That was funny!
After I transferred to the Harrisburg, PA store, I was told of something even funnier that happened with a prank call! My friend Bobby(Nostrodomus) called from a phone in the store to ask the cashier to page Peter Gozinya because he forgot something to tell him! Sure enough, the cashier paged Peter Gozinya over the intercom which led to Birdbrainz(Philly The Kid) coming out in tears laughing! The assistant manager named Chris(we called him C-Willy) came out and literally said, "What the hell did you just say?" The cashier later said, "I think someone is trying to prank me!" LOL! But Birdbrainz got Bobby real good with a phone call prank when I first started in that store.
He gave Bobby a number to call back, and it turned out to be hair loss restoration place! Bobby didn't know at first as the person kept talking to him until he figured out that it was a prank! He looked at Birdbrainz and Jeff(Soupy) with a mad look on his face after that happened!
One of my favorite prank call moments in that store happened right before they shut it down. I called my friend Paul(who worked in the High Point store), and I setup a prank call because Bobby was talking trash about him in the store. So I gave Paul the number to our store to ask for Bobby. I told him to call right before closing time, and I just happened to pick up the phone when he called. I paged Bobby over the intercom, and he asked me who it was. We then had to take care of a couple of customers while Paul waited on the phone. Bobby kept asking me who it was, and I just kept telling him that the guy was asking for him. Finally after we took care of the customers, Bobby picked up the phone. Paul then kept saying, "So you're the one who keeps talking trash about me!" Bobby sort of got defensive at first, and kept asking who it was! Then Paul told him, and Bobby gave me a weird look for it! Birdbrainz got a good laugh out of that one, too. But Bobby was still pranking others over the phone.
One time he got me over the phone after I accidentally hung up on a customer disguised under Bobby's voice. Bobby was also very good at disguising his voice in a foreign language when calling the stores. He was still doing that in the store he transferred to after the one we worked at closed down.
In the next Volume, I'm going to cover some other funny moments. Then after that, I'm going to talk about some of the more serious stuff that happened that you don't see everyday.
Thanks for reading!

Thanks Ron. I do have my dull moments, but we did our best to enjoy OD which is can be difficult for anyone working in retail. Still, these moments will never be forgotten.
I appreciate the comment!:)
