The Interview Game with The Funk

Posted on 1/13/2009 05:38:00 PM by David Funk

Yesterday, the man you all know as THE BEEZEWAX played along in the Interview Game after being asked five questions from Charli Henley. Here are both blogger's Interview Game entries.....

Charli's Interview Game
BEEZE's Interview Game

Before I get to the rules and questions, I highly recommend checking both of those bloggers out. OK, here we go with the rules first.....

•Leave me a comment requesting an interview.

•I will e-mail you five questions. I get to pick the questions.

•You then answer the questions on your blog.

•You should also post these rules along with an offer to interview anyone else who e-mails you wanting to be interviewed.

•Anyone who asks to be interviewed should be sent 5 questions to answer on their blog.

•It would be nice if the questions were individualized for each blogger.
So I will follow the rules and offer to interview anyone who would like to play.

Here are the questions BEEZE asked me,with my answers....

1. What would you want for your last meal?
Knowing me(and I know some personal friends of mine will read this), I would probably have to have a Subway sandwich. OK, call me crazy or whatever you want, but I go there all the time so it only makes sense to go out like that. I'm sure they would all bring bottled water in my honor, too.

2. If you could sit down with one person, and ask them 3 questions, Who would it be? What are the questions?
That's really tough to narrow down to one person with all the people that live or have lived in this world. But being I'm a sports guy, I think it would have to be Michael Jordan. I would ask him questions about the game, where it's going to be in several years, and of course his baseball career! Oh yeah, I would also ask about how his life would have changed if he signed with Reebok and not Nike! LOL! Muhammad Ali would be an interesting interview, too.

3. What is your biggest regret?
My biggest regret is not being completely focused on goals early on in my life. However, I don't dwell on what I did or didn't do, and only focus on where I'm going and not where I've been. We all have regrets, but people should only care where you're going in life.

4. Would you like to know the precise date of your death?
That is by far the toughest question of the five. I would say no unless it was very soon. Is it me, or would you feel uncomfortable writing down your death date in a diary, calendar, or what have you to remind you when it was? Especially if it's many years from now. That doesn't give me any comfort doing that unless again, it was very soon.

5. If giving up the one thing you truly loved meant ending poverty world wide, Would you do it?
I would for sure. I've seen many people in poverty, and I've always had a soft spot for those who have been there and are there now. We all live one life, and to help them out by giving up the one thing you like the most would at least give someone the chance to live a fortunate life. The world isn't perfect by any means with problems everywhere, but kids in poverty deserve a chance to grow up without limitations.

Thanks BEEZE for the questions!

Hey David! Great answers... (Good questions too.)

I laughed at your answer to #1. It is the highlight of my week when I get a delicious veggie sub from subway. People think I'm crazy. And I really don't get excited about food. But that subway veggie sub... Mmmmmm.

I share similar regrets with you also, my friend. I'm always so jealous of those people who conquer the world at 22 and have it made by 27. Sigh.

Nice to see you playing the game!

BEEZE- Yes, it would have to be Subway. I did go there again today, too. Thanks for the questions and for the comment.

Charli- We just crossed paths on-line yesterday, and it's getting to be funny to me about the simularities we have. I like the veggie sub, but I typically go with the turkey or ham or both. It's a highlight for me to go there, too. Well, regrets are what they are. The only we can all do is look ahead and not back. It's always a pleasure for someone of your intellect to stop by with a thoughtful and kind reply. Thanks for the comment.

That is twice I've seen question number four answered "no" by two different people. I would absolutely love to know. That way I could plan and know for sure.

AHI- Thanks for stopping by with a comment. It's just a preference to me, but I would rather not be reminded of when that day comes. That's just me. Thanks for coming by.

Seems to me that you main regret in life is letting Jared become the spokesperson for Subway. And to think you didn't pick chips or a cookie too!

Ok David ... I'm in.

Frank- Yeah, people think I should be their spokesperson for as often as I go to one. I think should audition for it, but Charli might beat me out if tried out, too! LOL!

I'll get the questions to you later on in the day. Thanks for the comment as always.
