For the last week or two, I've gotten some mail about Google Adsense in terms of fraudulent clicking. Since I've been asked that before, I'm going to provide tips for how to avoid click fraud with Google Adsense which could help any newer bloggers out there as well as those that have had a problem with it before. Hopefully this will help anyone out who may need it.
1. Do NOT click on your own ads unless you know you're interested in them. This is something everyone probably knows if you've ever done anything with Google Adsense.
2. Do NOT double-click on ads for you or on another site. I've heard of at least two people that have had their Adsense account suspended because either they double-clicked on an ad or someone else did on their site. When you go to click on an ad, only click once.
3. Do NOT click too often on a given site. This can be a problem especially when you start and get a bit anxious about making money. Google does check IP addresses, so don't get carried away with visiting and clicking a site too much especially daily or more.
4. If you're going to click on any ad(your site or not), at least look genuinely interested in them. In other words, don't click on one then close out that page two seconds later because Google could be alerted with you being a spammer or that you're clicking strictly for someone else's benefit.
5. Be sure to warn family and close friends about the policies of click fraud with Google Adsense. There's nothing wrong with promotion, but we all know that some family members or friends can have a click-fest while getting your account suspended especially when starting out.
6. Breaking any of the above rules could not only get your account suspended, but someone else, too. If you go by someone's site all the time by clicking on ads, not only can the site owner be suspended but so can you. As I said, Google has a log of IP addresses, so don't think that both parties can't be suspended.
7. The last thing I would recommend is to know what kind of sites, links, or ad campaigns you can promote while not breaking Google's policy. Some are quite obvious. It's probably better to contact them about anything along those lines before putting something on your page.
Be sure that if you suspect click fraud from someone clicking your ads that you report it to Google or they could suspend your account.
From talking to some bloggers, Google is a little more tolerant than they used to be with their policies. That being said, if you've ever had your account suspended or banned, it's because you broke one of the above mentioned rules. You can write a request to have your account reinstated, but it may not happen depending on how serious it is. If this happens, there are other ad campaigns to use, so it's not the end of the world even though some have very much the same policies and procedures as Google.
These are based on my own experiences as well as talking with other bloggers. Thanks for reading, and I hope this helped someone out that's either getting started or wasn't familar with click fraud with Google Adsense.

Thanx for the tips. Right now, i'm only showing link ads and google search. I'm not using text ads anymore, is it ok? I guess i'm just worried if someone click my ads regularly.
By the way, thanx for your comments.
Tripzibit- No problem buddy. I think you'll be OK without the text ads. If it continues to be a problem, then you should contact Google so that they're aware of it.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
Great advice David.
I must admit - I don't know much about Adsense - nor the positives or negatives. Therefore, once again, you've given me more to mull over.
Thanks Lester.
Frank- Glad this helped out.
