Okay, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers erased a 10-point deficit in the 4th quarter, and beat the Chicago Bears in OT this past Sunday.
I thought this would turn out to be defensive struggle as both teams are tough to move the ball on.
The Bucs pass protection in this game was very good, and that was really the deciding factor. The Bears front four is one of the best in the NFL, and they couldn't get to Brian Griese all game.
The Bucs couldn't run the ball, and had four turnovers in the game. But, because of the lack of pressure on the quarterback from the Bears, they were able to overcome those problems to ultimately win the game.
This has become a familar theme for the Bears in the last two games. They've held a lead going into the final quarter of the game only to see the other team come from behind.
The good news for the Bears is that the offense is getting better. Although Kyle Orton did turn the ball over himself, he did make some good throws as he had two touchdown passes on the afternoon. Matt Forte continues to run the ball well after three games. Brandon Lloyd had a career day as a receiver against Tampa.
The Bucs were without Joey Galloway on offense, but that hardly even mattered late in the game with Griese being able to throw at will on Chicago.
This was a good win for the Bucs to get on the road. The Bears failed to get a pass-rush that's normally not a problem for them, and that won't win you many games in this league. I do think the Bucs wore down the Bears on defense, too.
The Bears now have to prepare for the 2-1 Eagles next week in Chicago. The Bucs won the game in the trenches of their offensive line to go to 2-1 on the season.

dearest, we are not looking forward to hester coming back. we all know what a beast he is. yesterday was full of last minute upsets, funny how that works sometimes. cheers to US next week :) !!!
Cindy: Hester coming back will help the Bears. If the Bears can't get a better pass-rush than they did yesterday, then the result for them will be the same against Philly. That to me is more of a concern because that's supposed to be one of the team's strengths. But that was just one game.
true, very true.
stay positive, it isn't about a win or a lose it's how u play the game.
ppl are still jabbing me over our loss to our rival the cowboys, it was only 4 points & the game rocked, so i say who cares about the 4 points.
like i said cheers to us next week!!
Cindy: In a sense, you are correct about the wins and losses depending on who the teams have played. But in the end, the records are what people look at. We are fans first and foremost, and we're not out there on the field playing so I don't feel the need to get upset about it. I will, however, observe what I saw and provide my take as to why things happened the way they did.
Yes, the Cowboys didn't exactly blow out the Eagles to a point where Dallas is so much more superior than them so I'm with you there.
I'm not that negative on the Bears, and as I said in my post, I'm actually pleased with the offense which wasn't expected to be anywhere close to being even okay to watch. Credit does go to the Bucs for the job they did in protecting their quarterback, and the Bears will have to adjust to that by performing better in that area in the coming weeks. The line of scrimmage is where the games are really one in most cases.
Yes, cheers to us next week on Sunday night! Take care girl!

Cindy, we all look at things differently. It's not like we're personally attacking one another. Besides, I want to avoid your "slashdot effect" roundhouse kick, so I know better than to mess with you! LOL!
D, i never even gave that a thought, the attacking thing ;0
it's all good in CindyLouWhoVille
LMAO!
CindyLouWhoVille? LOL!
At least I know the name of the town you live in there PA now! For some reason, I get the feeling I won't be able to find the town on my GPS or on MapQuest to know where at in the state you live! LOL!
it isn't with the grinch i can assure you. i live in a little shoe, right beside the back 40. decorated with teacups & all that cute little crap..........funny as hell. i'm outta here, i've got a ton of work to do......later tater tot
The Eagles D looked great. Orton could be in for a long day. Not too bad for you getting to face Philly w/o Westbrook most likely.
looks like Garcia is out for now...which still is a head scratcher to me
Cindy: Yeah, I think it would be impossible to associate you with the grinch. Well, maybe not according to YB. LOL!
Lester: The Eagles D is strong for sure. They are banged up, but they still beat a good Pittsburgh team on Sunday. It'll be an interesting game.
3rd: I heard that about Garcia. It makes me wonder if another QB controversy is coming in Tampa again.
