Before I get started with this post, be sure to check the latest fantasy baseball players of the day on Lester's Legends' site. It was a strong day for pitcher Jeff Weaver after allowing no hits, but did not win the game. To find out how he and everyone else did yesterday, click the link below:
Fantasy Baseball Players of the Day: 6/28/08
Now onto the Fantasy NFL Violation Keepers edition.
Note: This is not an actual league or game that will be run.
Individual Player Leagues Point scale:
Arrests: 60 points
Positive test under NFL Substance Abuse Policy: 45 points per time
Game suspension for violating policy: 10 points per game
Year-long suspension: 60 points per year
Lifetime league suspension: 100 points
New contract holdout: 1 point per day held out
DUI/DWI: 45 points per count
Assault charge(extra 15 points against women and children): 45 points
Overly aggressive play resulting in fine: 10 points
Fines for comments bashing league, refs, commish: 10 points each
Serious crime charge(murder, sex crime, burglary): 60 points per count Note: All animal types including dogs is considered a serious crime.
Prison conviction for serious crime: 100 points
Now the point scale is the same for team keeper leagues. You just accumulate points as a team based on the point scale above, so you stand to gain many points if you have a team full of players that violate league rules and have trouble with the law. If I'm in a draft, I would want the first pick to select...yeah...you know who. However, this keep league starts at the beginning of training camp, and live/simulation drafts can be run until opening day of the NFL season. This league isn't official, but I guarantee some players would earn more points in this league than in ACTUAL fantasy football leagues! LOL!

That's good humor right there. Sad, but true.
Thanks Lester.
